Health First, Then Travel

This refers to people traveling to a country other than their own to receive medical treatments, rehabilitation, or health services. A person who travels for health-related reasons is known as a ‘health tourist.’

Medical Tourism: This type of tourism is undertaken when individuals find medical services in their country inadequate or seek treatment or surgery abroad.

Thermal Tourism: This form of tourism is done for rehabilitation and relaxation at thermal facilities located in areas known for their healing thermal waters.

Elderly and Disabled Tourism: Elderly and disabled tourism includes long-term stays with social activities, tours for seniors, occupational therapy, elderly care services, rehabilitation services at clinical hotels, and special care and tour arrangements for disabled individuals. Services are typically provided at clinical hotels, recreation areas, resorts, and care homes.
