This 8-day biblical and cultural journey follows the route of the Seven Churches mentioned in the Book of Revelation. Travelling through Western Türkiye, the programme combines biblical history, ancient cities, early Christian heritage and the rich cultural landscape of Asia Minor.

The tour includes Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea, together with important historical and cultural sites such as Hierapolis and Pamukkale.

This programme is especially suitable for church groups, biblical study groups, cultural associations and tour operators looking for a meaningful and well-organised journey through the early Christian world.

All programmes can be fully tailor-made according to the wishes, interests, budget and travel style of the client.

Day 1

Arrival in Izmir

Upon arrival at Izmir Airport, guests are welcomed by our local team and transferred to the hotel.

Depending on the arrival time, there may be time for a short introduction to Izmir, the modern city built on the site of ancient Smyrna.

Overnight in Izmir.

Day 2

Smyrna and Pergamum

After breakfast, we begin the biblical programme with a visit to ancient Smyrna, one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Smyrna was an important early Christian centre and is connected with the message of faithfulness under pressure.

We then continue north to Pergamum, one of the most impressive ancient cities in Türkiye. Pergamum was a major cultural, political and religious centre in antiquity. The visit can include the Acropolis, the remains of temples, the theatre and other important monuments.

Pergamum is one of the most powerful sites in this journey, combining biblical significance with remarkable archaeological remains.

Overnight in the Pergamum / Ayvalık / Izmir area, depending on the routing.

Day 3

Thyatira, Sardis and Philadelphia

Today we continue through the historic region of Asia Minor and visit three of the Seven Churches.

Our first stop is Thyatira, known from the Book of Revelation and historically connected with trade and craft guilds.

We then continue to Sardis, once the capital of the ancient Lydian Kingdom. Sardis is an impressive archaeological site with remains of the ancient city, a synagogue, Roman structures and early Christian heritage.

Later, we visit Philadelphia, another of the Seven Churches, known for its message of perseverance and faithfulness.

After the visits, we continue towards the Pamukkale region.

Overnight in Pamukkale.

Day 4

Laodicea, Hierapolis and Pamukkale

After breakfast, we visit Laodicea, one of the most important sites connected with the Seven Churches. The city was known in antiquity for its wealth, trade, textiles and medical knowledge. Its biblical message makes it one of the most meaningful stops of the tour.

We then continue to Hierapolis, an important ancient city located above the famous white terraces of Pamukkale. Hierapolis is also traditionally connected with the Apostle Philip.

Guests will have time to experience Pamukkale, known for its unique white travertine terraces and thermal waters.

Overnight in Pamukkale.

Day 5

Aphrodisias and Kuşadası

Today we travel west towards the Aegean coast. On the way, we can visit Aphrodisias, one of the most beautiful ancient cities in Türkiye. Although not one of the Seven Churches, Aphrodisias offers an impressive insight into the Greco-Roman world in which early Christianity developed.

The site is known for its stadium, theatre, temples, agora and remarkable marble sculptures.

After the visit, we continue to Kuşadası or Selçuk, near ancient Ephesus.

Overnight in Kuşadası / Selçuk.

Day 6

Ephesus

Today is dedicated to Ephesus, one of the most important biblical and archaeological sites in the world.

Ephesus was a major city of the Roman Empire and an important centre of early Christianity. It is connected with the Apostle Paul, the Apostle John and early Christian tradition.

During the visit, guests can see the ancient streets, the Library of Celsus, the theatre, agora, temples and other impressive remains. The programme can also include the Basilica of St. John and, if desired, the House of the Virgin Mary.

Ephesus is often one of the highlights of the entire journey.

Overnight in Kuşadası / Selçuk.

Day 7

Optional Biblical and Cultural Visits

This day can be arranged according to the wishes of the group.

Possible options include a more detailed visit to the surroundings of Ephesus, the Basilica of St. John, the House of the Virgin Mary, the Temple of Artemis, Şirince village or additional time for reflection, group meetings or worship.
